Emergency Dental Care

If you are a patient of record and have a dental emergency after office hours, please call the main office number (972)393-2400. You will be given instructions on how to reach us and Dr. Wayne, Dr. Julie or a team member will contact you as soon as possible.

Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment only. Please call in advance so that we may reserve a time for you. The office telephone number is (972)393-2400. If possible, please give us at least 48 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment. If you are scheduled on a Monday, please contact us by the previous Thursday morning. If a 24 hour notice is not given, a $50 charge may apply.

When you are in the office for routine hygiene care we strongly encourage you to pre-appoint your next visit. This is especially important if you want those "highly desirable" early and late time slots.

Referrals

We accept new patients into our practice and welcome your friends and family. Your referral is the greatest compliment you can give us and is greatly appreciated.

Dental Insurance

If you belong to a traditional insurance plan, we can assist you by filing your insurance claim. Traditional insurance is typically one in which you can choose any dentist you desire. Our practice is not contracted with any insurance companies and does NOT belong to any PPO or DMO insurance plans. If you are not sure what type of plan you have, a simple phone call to your insurance company or human resource department can assist you. We, however, cannot guarantee insurance benefits due to the fact insurance companies will not guarantee quotes to us either verbally or written.

In an effort to provide high quality dental care and to clarify our position on filing for your insurance benefits, we would like to share some facts about dental insurance with you:

Your dental insurance is based on a contract between your employer and the insurance company. While we will attempt to estimate your dental benefits to the best of our ability, this is an estimate ONLY, and should not be depended on as the final decision. Should questions arise, it is best to contact your insurance company directly.

You may receive notification from your insurance company stating dental fees are "higher than usual and customary". An insurance company surveys a geographic area, calculates an average fee and then takes that fee and considers it customary. Included in this survey are discount clinics and managed care facilities, which bring down the average. Most doctors in private practice will have fees, which are defined as "above usual and customary".

Many plans tell participants they will be covered "up to 80% or up to 100%" but do not clearly specify plan fee schedule allowances, annual maximums, limitations or exclusions. Fee schedule allowances, annual maximums, limitations and exclusions are set according to the plan that you or your employer actually purchased. Insurance companies do NOT cover all dental services.

For further information regarding dental insurance contact the American Dental Association or visit the insurance section on their website at: http://www.ada.org.

Payment Options

Our computer system has access to over 1000 insurance plans and tracks the payment schedules for many of them. Our staff will estimate your insurance coverage at each visit and ask you to pay the difference each time. Please note that this is an ESTIMATE only. If there is an additional balance due after the insurance claim is paid we will bill you.

We gladly accept Cash, Money Orders, Personal Checks, Debit/Check Card, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

We also offer a flexible payment plan called CareCredit, which allows you to spread payments over time. This plan is for treatment plans $300 and over. With CareCredit you can start treatment immediately, enjoy low monthly payments, finance up to 100% of the treatment cost, choose between several payment options, and pay no costs upfront and no annual fees. Most plans with CareCredit are interest free! CareCredit is a revolving charge account that is easy to use, takes just minutes to apply and is ideal for all treatment costs not covered by insurance. You may apply online or contact our office. We are directly linked to CareCredit. Applications and responses take just minutes!
