Drs. Wayne and Julie Scott were married shortly after graduating from dental school in 1989 and began their practice together in 1990. They have raised two children here in Coppell. Their daughter, Lauren, is currently a dental hygienist at their practice and recently got married to Dr. Lorenzo Espinoza, who is also a dentist! After taking several years off from college, their son Weston is enjoying a career in aviation.

Drs. Wayne and Julie Scott continue to take advanced training in various aspects of cosmetic dentistry such as, veneers, bonding, as well as all ceramic and implant crowns. Also, they have had special training in Sports Dentistry since they are the team dentist for the Dallas Cowboys Football Team and the Dallas Stars Hockey Team. Drs. Wayne and Julie Scott have been providing dental care and custom mouth guard fabrication for the Dallas Cowboys Football Team since 1990. Furthermore, the doctors have been providing rink side dental care to the Dallas Stars Hockey Team during games to treat dental injuries as well as providing custom mouth guards, including Under Armour mouth guards, since 1994. They are also members of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the Dallas County Dental Society.

 

Wayne Scott, D.D.S.

Dr. Wayne Scott was born in Calgary, Canada. After growing up in countries such as Canada, England, and the Middle East, his family settled in Houston, Texas. Dr. Wayne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Texas A&M University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry where he met his wife, Dr. Julie Scott.

Dr. Wayne is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Academy for Sports Dentistry and  Spear. Drs. Wayne and Julie Scott both continue to take advanced training in various aspects of cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, bonding, all ceramic and implant crowns, as well as same day E4D crowns. Furthermore, they are the team dentist for the Dallas Cowboys Football Team and the Dallas Stars Hockey Team. They have been providing dental care and mouth guard fabrication for the Dallas Cowboys since 1990 and the Dallas Stars since 1993. In addition, many of our patients will see them at both Stars and Cowboys games providing game coverage for emergencies.

When Dr. Wayne is not caring for his patients, he enjoys golfing, fly fishing, cycling, and working out.

 

Julie Scott, D.D.S.

Dr. Julie Scott was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC and moved to Texas in 1980 to attend dental hygiene school. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry Caruth School of Dental Hygiene. After graduating valedictorian of her class, she was encouraged to further her education in dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry where she graduated with special recognition in Periodontics.

Dr. Julie has taken extensive continuing education courses with Frank Spears, some of which include TMJ and how to reconstruct worn dentition including veneers. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Academy for Sports Dentistry and Spear. Drs. Wayne and Julie Scott both continue to take advanced training in various aspects of cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, bonding, all ceramic and implant crowns, as well as same day E4D crowns. Furthermore, they are the team dentist for the Dallas Cowboys Football Team and the Dallas Stars Hockey Team. Dr. Julie officially retired in 2022, and is spending her time enjoying gardening, photography, playing the piano, fitness activities and attending football and hockey sporting events.

 

Dr. Shattuck

A proud native Texan, Dr. Shattuck was born in Southeast Dallas, just outside Mesquite. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology Cum Laude from Texas A&M University, graduating on a full academic scholarship, and went on to complete his dental training at UT Houston Dental School (2008–2012).

Dr. Shattuck is known not only for clinical excellence, but for the heart, compassion, and integrity he brings to every patient interaction. His philosophy is simple: treat every patient like family. He deeply values the trust his patients place in him and is committed to delivering care with honesty, respect, and his very best—every time.

Outside the office, Dr. Shattuck is a devoted husband to his wife, Renee, of 20 years, and a proud father to Ethan (15) and Julian (13). Much of his free time is spent cheering from the sidelines—Ethan as a quarterback on the football field and Julian as a striker on the soccer pitch.
